10 And now also is the axe put to the root of the trees: (A)therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit, is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

11 (B)[a]Indeed I baptize you with water to [b]amendment of life, but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear, he will baptize you with the holy Ghost, and with fire.

12 [c]Which hath his fan in his hand, and will [d]make clean his floor, and gather his wheat into his garner, but will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.
